LOXIOL VPG 861

LOXIOL VPG 861 is a long-chain ester of pentaerythritol used as a processing agent. It prevents polymer melt from sticking to hot machine parts and facilitates mold release at higher temperatures, making it possible to use molds with complex geometry. LOXIOL VPG 861 improves feed behavior, prevents granule melting in feed zones, and has a favorable influence on tool filling speed and finished surface properties. It remains transparent and color stable in amounts from 0.1-0.5% of PC and PMMA. LOXIOL VPG 861 may also be used as an antiblock additive for biaxially oriented polyester films, improving abrasion resistance. Dosages typically range from 0.2-1.0%. Its thermo-resistant and low volatility properties make it suitable for various thermoplastics processing in industrial applications.
