BYK-1163

BYK-1163 is a wetting additive that reduces viscosity at low shear forces. BYK-1163 is particularly recommended for unfilled, low to medium filled materials as it allows for easier dispersion and incorporation during manufacturing processes. The additive promotes better wetting and surface coverage, enabling more uniform material properties. BYK-1163 can be added during production or shortly before processing to optimize rheological behavior. At usage levels between 0.5-2% based on resin content, BYK-1163 helps achieve improved material flow and fill for demanding applications.
