BENTONE 27 V CG

BENTONE 27V CG additive is an organically modified hectorite that has been specially treated to control microbial content to below 100 cfu/g. It provides rheological control and suspension. BENTONE 27 V CG imparts shear-thinning rheology and is highly efficient for intermediate to high polarity systems. It can be incorporated by first dispersing in an organic liquid using high-shear mixing. Then an activator is added while continuing high-shear mixing to optimize dispersion. BENTONE 27 V CG offers benefits such as predictable and reproducible viscosity control. It provides excellent suspension of solids and controlled alignment of special-effect pigments. These properties make BENTONE 27 V CG well-suited for applications that require stable formulation of emulsions while preventing separation of ingredients. It is also non-abrasive and light in color, making it an ideal additive for leave-on personal care products.
