EDENOL 2192

EDENOL 2192 is a 100% biobased polymeric plasticizer with medium viscosity. It is perfectly suitable for use in bioplastics such as PLA, PHA or blends thereof which are commonly used in Advanced Materials industry. EDENOL 2192 improves the handling properties of these biopolymers used in Advanced Materials when used as primary plasticizer. It provides much better elasticity (elongation at break) in PLA compared to other plasticizers of similar viscosity. At similar dosages in PLA/PHA blends used in Advanced Materials, EDENOL 2192 shows similar or better migration properties than standard polymeric plasticizers. EDENOL 2192 enhances the renewable content and performance of biopolymers without compromising properties, making it an ideal sustainable additive for the Advanced Materials industry.
