TECOFLEX EG-72D-B40

TECOFLEX EG 72D B40 is a medical grade aliphatic polyether-based thermoplastic polyurethane with 40% loading of barium sulfate. It offers an inherent ultraviolet stability that resists yellowing by aging and sterilization. TECOFLEX EG 72D B40 has a durometer hardness of 82D shore and specific gravity of 1.55. Its high flexural modulus of 179,000 psi and tensile modulus of 4,300 psi at 200% elongation makes it suitable for applications in the Advanced Materials industry that requires high strength and durability. Being radiopaque, TECOFLEX EG 72D B40 can be easily inspected with imaging techniques and is well suited for medical device components where visualization is important. TECOFLEX grades are well-konwn for their luxurious haptic and patient comfort from the in-body softening effect.
